Six types of Australian halfpennies were minted.

First type Australian halfpenny 1911 - 1936

Specifications: Diameter 25.5mm. Weight 5.67grams. Plain edge.
Metal composition: 97% copper, 2.5% zinc and 0.5% tin.
Obverse: portrait of King George V by Sir Edgar Mackennal.
Reverse: ONE HALF PENNY within a circle sculpted by W H J Blakemore.

1914	Superb example of a very rare date. Strong strike with eight clear pearls and bold centre diamond. Soft even original lustre on a rich orange-brown planchet. 1923	The rarest of all the halfpennies. Outstanding example, no significant flaws at all, very hard to find this good. Six clear pearls and centre diamond clearly visible although a little indistinct. This is the nicest specimen we have ever offered for sale. 1930	Second lowest halfpenny mintage, apart from 1923. This item has a soft strike and some light marks from limited handling, strong centre diamond but only six pearls visible. Almost full lustre, possibly artificially enhanced, but retoning nicely and quite collectable.	aUnc	330

There are two easy ways to order items from this site.
1. Email. Send an email to aussiecoins@ymail.com to check items are still in stock. We will confirm availability by return email and advise the postage and handling charges applicable. You may then pay by direct deposit, PayPal or mail us a cheque.
2. Post. Mail us a personal cheque, bank cheque or money order together with your name, mailing address, plus details of the items ordered. Don’t forget to add the charge for packaging and postage. (Refer home page.)
